what we believe

God: There is only one true and eternal God consisting of three co-equal persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Gen 1:1; Deut 6:4; John 1:1-18; John 14:6-13; Acts 5:3-4)

Bible: The Bible is the inerrant Word of God and is our ultimate and final authority in life. (Deut 4:1-2; 2 Tim 2:15, 3:16-17)

Man: Man is created in the image of God, perfect and without sin. When man sinned, man became separated from God remains separated from God apart from Christs redemption through His death and resurrection. (Gen 1:26-30; Eph 2:1-22; Rom 1:19-32, 5:12-21)

Jesus: Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is fully God and fully man. He is eternal equal with God. (Heb 1:1-3, 4:14-15; John 1:1-3,14)

Forgiveness: God offers forgiveness of sin and justification through faith in Christ apart from works. All true believers are forgiven of sin and declared righteous in the eyes of God. (Acts 1:8; Eph 2:8-22; 1 John 1:6 – 2:11; Rev 3:20)

Church: The Church is the body of Christ consisting of true followers of Jesus Christ. Followers of Christ are those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and gather together with fellow believers for worship, prayer, and fellowship. (Matt 16:15-19; Rom 10:9-10; Acts 16:30-33; 1 Cor 11:23-26; Eph 1:22-23; Heb 10:23-25)

Christ’s Return: Jesus Christ will return to the earth redeem His people, judge His enemies, and restore His eternal kingdom. (Matt 24:29-31, 25:31-46; 1 Thess 4:14-18; Rev 20:4-6, 11-15)

Believers Baptism: Baptism is a symbolic act of obedience where Christians follow the example of Jesus by being immersed in water after conversion as their public profession of faith.

Communion: Communion is the symbolic act of obedience where Christians remember the sacrifice of Jesus when He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.

Priesthood of Believers: Believers do not need to go through a priest to talk to God. We have direct access to God as we are a royal priesthood. (1 Peter 2:5,9)

Church Autonomy: Bellevue Heights is an independent Bible teaching Church that is totally autonomous in nature and governed by our congregation. We cooperate with other Churches of like spirit who share common beliefs and purposes.
